Location of the Mézenc Massif: -> in the South-East of the Massif Central, at the border between the Haute-Loire and Ardèche areas. -> next to the Sources of the river Loire and Mont Gerbier de Jonc. Hotel access : By road - By train - By foot By Road > From Paris (approx. 6h*): Take the E05/A10 towards Orléans, then the A71 towards Clermont-Ferrand (continued below). > From Clermont-Ferrand (approx. 2h*): Take the A75 until Junction 20, and follow the directions to le Puy-en-Velay (continued below). > From Lyon (approx 2h*): Take the A47 until Saint-Etienne, then the N88 until le Puy-en-Velay (continued below). > From Montélimar (approx. 1h45*) : Exit the A7 at Junction 18, follow the directions to Montélimar and there follow the N102 via Aubenas. Continue along N102 until Vals-les-Bains, then take D578 towards Mézilhac, then D122 until Mont Gerbier and continue along until Les Estables. > From Mende (approx. 1h45*) : take the N88, pass by Langogne and continue along until Le Puy-en-Velay (continued below). >>> In Le Puy-en-Velay (approx. 40min*), follow the signs for Valence using the D535. Pass by Brives-Charensac, and continue along the D535 towards Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille. Take the D631, towards Les Estables. Hotel access: In the village of Les Estables, follow the signs to Mont Mézenc / Borée / Croix de Boutières. Leave the village, the road makes two large curves in succession. Top By foot Access from the GR 7 / GR 420 (from the North): At the Croix de Peccata, walk downhill towards the Maison Forestière (900 m), take the GR 40 and walk along it until the village of Les Estables (1800 m). In the village, take the road towards "Borée - Mont Mézenc - Croix de Boutières" (700 m). Access from the GR 40: Follow the GR 40 until the village of Les Estables. Access from the GR 7 / GR 420 (from the South) : At the Croix de Boutières, take the westbound road towards Les Estables.
