Discover
le Mézenc plateau and the wild Loire area, the Ardèche
mountain, les Boutières, by car and sometimes by foot
(short walks), at your own pace, at your convenience. We
have prepared for you a selection of road trips of around 60
miles per day. They have been chosen to help you discover the
history and heritage of our country, as well as the hidden treasures
that you may not have found otherwise.

At
the start of your stay, we will give you a roadbook listing all
the selected circuits, and from which you can pick your daily
excursion. For each itinerary we have selected for you a list
of places of interest, sights and places to visit, as well as
short walks (less than an hour). In the roadbook you will find
not only the directions but also precious information about the
places you are going to visit: opening hours, entry prices, recommended
restaurants and addresses and phone numbers...

- the Plateau of Mézenc, and its volcanoes (crater
lake of Saint-Front, Lauzière of Lac Bleu, Narces de Chaudeyrolles),
its villages of thatched-roofed farms (Moudeyres and Bigorre)...
- the wild river Loire, and its deep gorges (upstream
from Le Puy-en-Velay), its castles (Arlempdes, Goudet)...
- the town of Le Puy-en-Velay, and its cathedral (a UNESCO
World Heritage site), its Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe chapel... |

of hiking trips (4 to 7-hours walk). They have been chosen to
help you discover the history and heritage of our country, as
well as its open landscapes.

Every
day, you will drive your car to the starting point of the hike
using the directions in the roadbook we'll give you *. Then with
the help of the map and the description of the hike, you will
get to discover remarkable sites. In the roadbook you will find
not only the directions but also precious information about the
sights. * It is essential that you have a car.
For more diversity, not all circuits start at Les Estables.
